The LPGA*USGA Girls Golf – Phoenix recently hosted its annual Golden Tee celebration to give young ladies an evening of Oscar-like glamour they deserve. In its 10th year, the night was hosted at Tempe’s Majestic Theater in honor of those who participated in the many events and activities offered annually by Girls Golf – Phoenix.

“Evenings like this one really reinforce the fact that golf can be fun on – and off – the golf course,” said Director of Girls Golf Phoenix Cori Matheson. “It’s a great way to celebrate the end of one season and the beginning of another in a memorable way. Thank you to the all the girls here tonight as well as all the members of the local golf community who dropped in to show their support.”

Girls Golf – Phoenix’s mission is to “Empower, Engage, Enrich and Energize Girls” through year-round golf programming that builds confidence, while offering a fun, safe, and competitive athletic environment. This thriving national program was founded in Phoenix in 1989 and is a 501(c)(3) subsidiary of the Junior Golf Association of Arizona and funded primarily through local grants.
