2026 Women to Watch Honors Arizona Golf House Tenants

Two tenants of the Arizona Golf House were recently recognized at Wise Arizona’s Women to Watch 2026 event, celebrating their outstanding leadership and impact in Arizona’s sports and events industry.

Women in Sports & Events (WISE) is a catalyst for women’s careers and leadership development in the business of sports. Each year, WISE honor their Women to Watch list, a group of emerging talent and rising leaders, shaping the future of sports and events across the state.

Raquel Romero of First Tee – Phoenix was honored in the Emerging Talent category. Her impactful work through the Inspira program reflects a strong commitment to engaging the Arizona community and advancing the game of golf. Through her efforts, she is helping break down barriers and create meaningful opportunities that put golf clubs into the hands of more players. Her work supports a vision of a game that is accessible to everyone, regardless of income, background, or skill level.

Mckenzie O’Brien of the Junior Golf Association of Arizona (JGAA) was recognized in the Rising Leader category. Her leadership and impact within the junior golf community are helping create opportunities for others to follow in her footsteps. Through her continued work, she is strengthening Arizona’s junior golf landscape and building pathways for growth in youth golf development.

Being selected for either category recognizes professional excellence, the ability to inspire others, and a drive to positively impact the golf industry. These honors highlight the growing influence of women in golf and their meaningful work underway at the Arizona Golf House to advance the sport, especially for youth.
