Teen Golf Clinic at Arizona Golf House Builds Leadership & Confidence
First Tee – Phoenix recently hosted Aspiring Youth Academy for a teen golf clinic designed to help equip Arizona youth with entrepreneurship, leadership, and career-readiness skills. Aspiring Youth Academy’s mission is to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit in today’s young minds, with the broader goal of helping break cycles of poverty through education, mentorship, and opportunity. Through this event, First Tee – Phoenix gave teens the chance to experience golf while showing how the game can build confidence and prepare young people for future success.
Held at the Arizona Golf House, the clinic featured Daryl and Derek Crawford of Papago Golf Club, who shared meaningful lessons on leadership, perseverance, and entrepreneurship through the game of golf.
When speaking with Daryl and Derek about supporting programs like First Tee and Aspiring Youth Academy, they said, “It is of the highest importance that we support, inspire, and guide today’s youth.” They also mentioned the importance of teens “following wonderful leaders like First Tee-Phoenix and Aspiring Youth Academy can only enhance their confidence in growing into great leaders of tomorrow.”
First Tee – Phoenix continues to equip juniors with life skills that extend beyond the golf course. By putting a golf club in teens’ hands for the first time and helping them develop character, confidence, and leadership, the program prepares them for success in school, in their careers, and in life.
