PARTNERSHIP WITH ASU CREATES
A PATH TO HIGHER EDUCATION

On the heels of a recent partnership between the Evans Scholars Foundation and Arizona State University, Evans Scholars now have the opportunity to enroll at ASU to reach their higher education goals. As soon as fall 2026, caddies from the local AZ Caddie and Leadership Academy will be encouraged to choose this new “fork” in the road.

“Our goal is to have 8-10 student caddies living in dorms by the fall of 2026 while we work to renovate historic Matthews Hall to house 50 students in a few short years,” said Brandon Rogers, local golf professional who founded the AZ Caddie and Leadership Academy in 2023. “Arizona caddies will be attending ASU on a full housing and tuition scholarship, and AZ Caddie and Leadership Academy will serve as the pipeline. This is a historic milestone and amazing opportunity for Arizona students.”

Under the umbrella of the Western Golf Association, the Evans Scholars Foundation provides full housing and tuition scholarships to student caddies who show financial need and academic and leadership excellence. Currently, 1,260 students attend college on Evans Scholarship nationwide at 27 universities. ASU will become the 28th.
