FULL LIST OF COMMITS

“Every year, it’s an honor to watch our junior golfers take next big step. Helping them prepare for college golf is certainly part of our mission,” said Scott McNevin, Executive Director of the JGAA. “We also educate, motivate, and inspire all of our members to attend college whether they play golf or not. The lessons they learn on the golf course during JGAA tournaments help them become community leaders in whatever they choose to do.”

Xander Mulder will become an Ole Miss Rebel after an impressive 2025 season. In nine JGAA events, he captured four top 25s and recorded three top 10s in six events. Mulder helped Notre Dame Prep claim its sixth Division 2 boys state team championship alongside Landon Ashcraft of Scottsdale who won his third-straight AIA DII individual state title. Ashcraft is heading to Texas A&M. The future Aggie racked up three top 10s in just three JGAA events, and he was part of team Arizona’s historic win at this year’s Boys Junior America’s Cup.

Joining him in College Station is former JGAA Player of the Year Owen Bolles of Chandler, who posted two top 10s this JGAA season. Bolles played well on the national stage with four top 15 performances in the AJGA schedule. Back in October, Ashley Shaw verbally committed to play collegiate golf for the University of Georgia. In the class of 2027, she will sign her National Letter of Intent next year.

Two Arizonans are staying close to home at the University of Arizona: Hogan O’Malley of Tempe and Joseph Nelson of Gilbert. Nelson clinched a victory at the 2025 Southwest Section PGA Junior Championship while O’Malley posted seven top 10s and a runner-up at the Desert Mashie Championship.

And two Arizonans are enroute to Washington State University, Jake Goyen of Mesa and Madalyn Gubernick of Cave Creek. Goyen posted three top-10 finishes in AJGA tournaments, including shooting a 63 in one of them. He was also a member of the 2025 Hogan Cup Team. Gubernick finished the year with four top 10s and third-place honors at the AJGA’s Wyndham Clark tournament.

Julia Herzberg of Gilbert signed with the University of Clemson. The future Tiger had a remarkable 2025, collecting two JGAA wins, plus three runner ups and in 10 AJGA events.

Isabella Piazza of Phoenix will tee it up for the University of Colorado Boulder. The Buffalo won the prestigious PING Invitational and carded four top 10s in seven JGAA events.

Fresh off an AIA DII individual state title, Tyla Greenwood of Tucson is joining Eastern Washington University. The 2025 grad ended the 2025 JGAA season with two runner ups and nine top 10s in 11 events entered.
